Bring the runway into your everyday life.
We are constantly inspired by the looks that come straight off the runway. Not only about the clothes and the shoes (although we do love that), we love to gawk at the new iterations of popular hairstyles and hairdos that are constantly cropping up, resulting in major game changers in how we style our hair. One look that we have been swooning over is the dramatic side part. This runway inspired hair trend looks polished, yet dramatic as it creates a defined look to the face. To get some more inspiration, we checked out a cool video from Vlogger Ingrid Nilsen who showed us how to make a deep defined part and create voluminous hair that you can rock in your everyday life. Check out her complete video tutorial (above) and some of her favorite products that
Runway Inspired Hair
1. Start clean
Ingrid starts by washing her hair with the Clear Scalp & Health Total Hair Shampoo and Conditioner. She mentioned that they help add shine, smoothness and bounce to her locks.
2. Prep your hair
To get her hair ready for the style, she uses the TRESemmé Max the Volume Root Lifting Cream that helps her to achieve body and bounce. Next up, after her hair is dry, Ingrid uses the TRESemmé Max the Volume Lightweight Moisturizing Lotion. It adds intense moisture that keeps your hair looking smooth.
Take a comb and draw a line from the back of your head diagonally to the other side. You can pick any side that works for you and your facial features. Pin it down with a clip or bobby pin. As Ingrid noted, this helps to enhance the look while giving the style a cool retro vibe.
4. Go even deeper
Another way to try out this trend is to create an even deeper side part. Swoop your hair over to one side and push your hair forward. Ingrid likes to pin her hair on the other side (not the side with the deep part) that creates a defined and focused look on the other side.
