A few of our favorite looks from the runway.
New York Fashion Week happens once a year, and for us, this means it’s basically Christmas for hair trends. Every day of the week, NYFW is delivering the best of the best new hair ideas, and like kids in a candy shop we just can’t wait to try them all out!
The All Things Hair team is out and about scoping out the hottest new trends for Spring/Summer 2017 and reporting back with our findings. Here’s a quick round-up of five of the coolest hairstyles and accessories we’re swooning over so far:
Favorite Hair Trends from New York Fashion Week
1.The Mellow Wave
Yesterday, we spotted the wavy hair street style trend from NYFW, and it’s no surprise to us that the look is gracing the catwalks as well. This particular look paired up with the imperfect hair parting has a super relaxed and mellow feel.
2. Modern Victory Roll
Romantic styles dominated the first day of NYFW. We were quickly drawn to this look because of it’s modern feel. Traditional victory rolls are styled neat and tight, but this new way of rocking the look involves a few wisps here and there.
3. Sleek Side Part
A deep side part on almost any hairstyle gives off an “I mean business” feel, especially when done on a super sleek and clean ponytail. Consider this sleek side part updo the go-to look when you’re pressed for time and need a simple hairstyle that’s also super stylish.
4. Normcore Bun
This look is bound to be our new favorite transitional hairstyle. Wear an updo like this from the office straight to after-work cocktails. All you need is to add a simple statement accessory, like a bold earring, to inject more pizzaz to the overall look.
5. The Exaggerated Flower Crown
Flower crown hair accessories are back for SS17, we definitely expected that. But what caught us off guard was this more-is-more approach on the accessory—but we’re loving it nonetheless! It’s all about (what else?) garden party hair for Spring/Summer, and we can’t wait to play with this fun accessory once the weather lets up.
