More reasons to love the chocolatey hue.
While NYFW is long gone, fashion month is still carrying on strong we continue to search for the latest hair trends. Although these trends are technically for the Spring/Summer 2017 season, who says we can’t get away with wearing some (or all) of them right now!
For this fall season, when it comes to hair color it’s all about pumpkin spice hair, or a blonde hair color of some sort — like rose gold. What about the dark brown hair lovers? Ladies, we couldn’t count you out! Whether you’re on the hunt for the best dark brown hair hue or looking for a new way to style your rich chocolatey colored hair, it’s always a good idea to take some cues from the runway. Here’s our round-up of all the dark brown hair looks we are totally loving from fashion month thus far.
Dark Brown Hair: 6 Hot Looks from Fashion Month
1. Rich Girl Hair
Rich girl hair was a big trend during NYFW Fall ’15. Models were sent down the runway with long hair curled with a faint bend along the length —not to be confused with wavy beach hair. Well, the look is back, and you can try it out right now on your pretty brown tresses with our simple rich girl hair tutorial.
2. Wet Hair Updo
Funny, fall is the season of chilly weather, but this autumn (and because we’re influenced by all of the red carpet hair goals) wet hair is having a major moment. And clearly, according to fashion month, spring will have the same. Update your brown hair with this trendy look when you’re in the mood for something fun and edgy. But please, don’t go outside with sopping wet hair. Instead, check out our wet hair tutorial to master this look at home.
3. The It Girl Crop
Part shag, part beach wave, part perfectly undone hair? Yes, please! This short haircut is the no fuss crop of our dreams and it’s mixed with all of the styles the “It” girls are wearing this season so we’re calling it the “It Girl Crop”. If you’re one of those gal’s that feels like your dark brown hair is boring because all the other light hair colors are having it’s thirty seconds of fame and taking all of the shine, don’t fret. Remember your hair color is just as gorge and no need to hop on every trend. But if you do want to try a cool trend that doesn’t involve altering your rich, dark hue, try this cool crop out.
4. Sleek and Chic Pony
What’s separates this from your basic pony is it’s smooth and shiny finish, along with its sexy deep side parting. But, if you have brown hair that lacks shine you need to find that one product that will bring a dull-colored sleek ponytail to life (ash brown is cool, but not for this style). After creating your pony, lock in your style by using some of the Bed Head by TIGI Headrush Shine Hairspray.
5. Lazy Girl Pony
If you’re all about streamlining your styling routine these days, consider this effortless look (and we mean that in every sense of the word). Gloss up your brown locks with a serum like Dove Regenerative Nourishment Serum-In-Oil then literally throw your hair into a two-second ponytail. To get away with this look, make it look like you actually put some thought into your look by pulling out some tendrils to frame your face.
6. Micro Bangs
If changing your brown hair to another color is not an option (we love your loyalty), but you’re still itching for a trendy new look, opt for baby bangs. For us, baby bangs are an excellent choice if you rather a fringe that stays out of your eyes, and they’re a great choice for someone who wants to make a fun and bold statement. Go girl!
