Classic hair is always in style.
Romance was in the air during New York Fashion Week, which was clearly seen in the classic hairstyles at the Oscar de la Renta show. TRESemme‘s Orlando Pita was at the helm at to create a smooth evening blowout that was characterized by its sleek and parted hair. The look dazzled attendees at the Morgan Library in NYC that gorgeously complimented the Summer/Summer 2017 collection, which was emblazoned with classic pieces like ruffled tops and A-line dresses. This, paired with Pita’s elegant blowout hair made for a quite a remarkable composition down the runway.
Classic Hairstyles at NYFW
The look was all about sleek and classic hair. Pita blowdried the hair straight using a round brush and then created a deep part. Any frizz or flyaways was tamed with some of the TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Creme Serum that also works to make hair smooth and shiny for up to 48 hours. For those with natural hair, he maintained their look while focus on the part of the hair and smoothing out the frizz. The ’70s are back and better than ever as seen in this awesome shag hairstyle. We love this modern iteration that features long and short layers and choppy bangs.
2. Sleek Straight
A signature look in this show was the sleek straight locks that graced the Morgan Library. This look was created by deep part with the hair effortlessly tucked behind the ears. One of our favorite classic hairstyles, we love how this look gorgeously complemented the collection.
3. Loose Curls
Instead of going for blowout hair on those with naturally curly locks, Pita opted to enhance their natural texture by using a gentle boar bristle brush and smoothing out the frizz.
4. Natural Hair
Natural hair was also embraced on the runway show as seen at the Oscar de la Renta show. We love how this look is about big, yet controlled curls that we can’t wait to see more of this year.
