New Year, New Hair!
When it comes to my hair, I’m a D.I.Y. kind of girl, trips to the salon are rarely on my agenda. I wash, trim, and even color my own hair right at home. The latter never comes out the way I want, so for 2017, my hair resolution is to get my hair colored by a professional.
Looking back on 2016, there were so many amazing hair color trends that were head turners like rainbow hair, chocolate mauve and even rose gold blonde. It’s quite hard for a girl like me to choose, but, I know for sure that I want something that I can wear for months without looking back and thinking what did I just do! Since I’ve made up my mind, I’m working on curating my new hair care routine. Here are some of the products I’m going to try on my newly colored-treated hair in 2017.
Hair Products for Color-Treated Hair
1. Color Protection Shampoo & Conditioner
Sad to see my go-to shampoo and conditioner go, but it will be soon time to introduce a new wash and care system into my routine. With color treated hair, my main goal will be to be as gentle as possible with my hair. Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion Color Care Shampoo and Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion Color Care Conditioner gently cleanses color-treated hair and controls frizz. That’s a win-win in my book!
A gloss is what I think my color-treated hair was missing in the past. I used to wonder why in the world my ends look so fried (even with a trim) and my hair color looked so dull. The Nexxus Color Assure Glossing Tonic is just what my hair needed back then, and I will for sure shoehorn it into my routine come 2017. This serum in spray form has a weightless formula that add shine to hair, locks in vibrancy and leaves hair looking radiant.
3. Color Care Dry Shampoo
As we all know, when it comes to hair color, washing can cause fading. To prevent my color from losing it’s luster I plan to throw a color care dry shampoo into the mix. The Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion Color Care Dry Shampoo will help me refresh my hair in-between washes and help me extend my straight hairstyles.
