Spring Hair Color Trends: 18 Hues to Know
1. Neutral Platinum Blonde
For bleach-aholics there is no better time than the present to go for platinum blonde. This shade is best worn for any skin tone if kept nice and neutral. Keep those brassy tones at bay by using TRESemmé Botanique Color Vibrance & Shine Intensive Mask about once a week.
2. Blorange
We are loving blorange hair, a fun mixture of blonde and orange that gives off a beautiful pastel orange shade. Surprisingly wearable, this is a cool little color shift for blondes and gingers alike!
3. Honey Blonde
Honey colored hair can be anything from sweet to downright edgy. The warmer tones make blonde hair more flattering for warmer skin tones. You can go anywhere from a light caramel shade to a barely there honey shade to wear this trend.
4. Bright Red
We told you red tones would be popping up all over this roundup! Obviously that includes your gorgeous standard red hair. We like this ever so slightly darker red shade that really makes amber eyes pop!
5. Warm Chestnut Brown
This sombré is absolutely everything. A subtle shift from your naturally brown hair to a lighter, warmer tone looks gorgeous for spring. Best part is, you can make it a bit lighter for summer quite easily. A touch of bleach is all you need.
6. Subtly Blended Balayage
Balayage hair tones are always a good idea. More subtle than ombre, and more blended than highlights, balayage is perfect for gals who want that subtly light look. You’ll have to do some bleaching to get a balayage hair look, which can be drying. We suggest soothing your bleached hair with Suave Professionals Castor Oil & Mango Butter Anti-Breakage Treatment.
7. Barely-There Strawberry Blonde
We’re loving this über subtle strawberry blonde. It has just enough of those red tones we’re loving to keep this shade from being either blonde or ginger. We particularly love this shade on peaches and cream complexions.
8. Warm Buttery Blonde
If you aren’t going for a platinum blonde we suggest going for a buttery, warm shade. The slightly more yellow shade could read very ’90s, so make sure your haircut doesn’t! This tapered ‘fro is the perfect fit.
9. Subtle Highlights
If you want something a little more natural this spring, baby lights are the way to go. The subtle change in lightness will give you a beautiful multi-tonal look without having to deal with the full commitment and upkeep of chunky highlights.
10. All Over Caramel Tones
If you love the warmth that red hair gives, but don’t want a literal interpretation, try out caramel tones instead. It’s a very warm reddish amber shade that we’re loving right now. Pair this look with a pretty updo to show off the subtlety of this radiant shade.
11. Jet Black
Black hair works all year long. But, instead of blue-black hair (which we also adore), springtime feels a tad bit springier with a neutral black tone. Not too cool, and not too brown or warm, this color suits everyone.
12. Beige Blonde
If all these warm tones have you rolling your eyes, try out this ashy, cool toned, beige blonde instead. It’s a great shade for people with fair skin tones to try the nude hair trend! This shade also looks beautiful on cooler toned deep skin tones.
13. Peach Hair
For perfect Easter egg hair, look no further than this awesome peach hair trend. This color is a spring hair trend in its own right! We’re particularly fond of this rendition, showing colors from peach to orange to pink.
14. Milk Chocolate
Another one of those colors that looks good on everyone? Milk chocolate hair. This lighter neutral brown shade shade is more flattering for people who aren’t too keen on going so dark with jet black hair.
15. Dark Auburn
Okay, this is the last reddish hair color, we promise! Our darkest red option is this dark auburn shade. More brown than red it really only reads as a crimson in bright lights and in the sun.
16. Lilac Gray
While we still love the gray hair trend, we also think it’s time to mix this hue up a bit with the latest version as seen in purple-toned gray, or the aptly-named griolet. Opt for an all-over purple tone and blend darker roots into your bleached gray hair, or get highlights to frame your face.
17. Pinkish Blonde
For a similar effect, you can add just a hint of pink to blonde hair. This is a beautiful option for warmer skin tones. A touch of pink adds extra interest to blonde hair without going into the rose gold territory, and is one of the spring hair color trends we can’t wait to try.
18. Warm Light Brown
This last one is probably the safest choice of them all! A warm light brown hair color looks good on everyone. We suggest wearing this shade of hair with a pretty, shiny golden finish. You can use the TRESemmé One-Step 5-in-1 Smoothing Cream when drying your hair for a shimmery finish.
