NYFW FW’23: How to Recreate the Rosie Twist from Christian Siriano’s Show
This floral-inspired style is chic and polished.
Join us backstage at Christian Siriano’s NYFW FW’23 show as we learn how to recreate the chic Rosie twist style. “Christian’s collection is stunning. It feels ethereal and romantic,” says Lacy Redway, Unilever Stylist & Celebrity Hair Artist. “We were inspired by the hand-crafted floral accents found throughout the collection to echo this in the hair by creating a rose-like twist, with a “stem” of hair weaving down the crown of the head, meeting the rose-like bun in the back.”
How to Recreate the Rosie Twist
Read on to learn how to recreate the style yourself:

Step 1: Protect your hair.
Begin by applying the brand-new TRESemmé One Step Blowout Balm from your roots to the ends of your hair to smooth, protect against heat, reduce frizz, and boost shine. Before blow-drying your strands, you can also apply a handful of TRESemmé Extra Hold Mousse around the perimeter of the hairline. Use a hairbrush to gently comb the product through your strands.
Step 2: Blow dry straight.
Section out a diagonal piece of hair right at the hairline, which will later be placed on top of the head, creating the stem of the rose-inspired style. Blow dry the rest of the hair away from the hairline, pulling it into a tight ponytail at the center.

Step 3: Twist and secure.
Once your hair is tied into a ponytail with an elastic, you can begin twisting small sections of hair onto themselves using a figure eight motion, pinning each section to the base of the ponytail. This will help create the look of rose petals in the bun.

Step 4: Set the style.
Finally, pray the diagonal section of hair left out of the ponytail with TRESemmé Freeze Hold Hair Spray to set in place before weaving it in an “S” like pattern from the hairline towards the rose-like twist. Secure the twist with hair pins and finish the look with more hairspray as you weave, creating the stem of The Rosie Twist.
