The weekend is our favorite time to experiment with our hairstyles and be just a little bit extra with our look. The ponytail is a staple style for any day of the week–and we’ve decided to give it a fun refresh. If you love having your hair up and want new ways to switch up a classic, look no further. Our weekend style of choice are unique ponytail styles. These looks add extra flare and are so easy to create. Check out three different weekend style ponytail looks we’ve been loving and learn how to create them for yourself:
Weekend Style: 3 Ponytail Looks
1. Slide in Some Side Clips
We’ve said it once, or maybe a million times, but statement hair clips are in big this season. It’s so easy to just add a few hair clips to your ponytail and it instantly becomes high fashion, chic, and sophisticated. Having one on either side of your hair part is cute, but we’ve recently been obsessed with adding as many as four clips on one side. The look is bold and only takes a second to create. Get an extra sleek ponytail to make this look more legit. Use a little bit of Suave Define & Shine Serum just before the root, and smooth it in while creating your ponytail.
2. Add a Twist
Another way to quickly amp up your weekend style ponytail is to add a side twist. You don’t need to do any fancy braids, just save a section of hair outside of your ponytail and split it into two sections to create a twist. Add the twist to your ponytail by wrapping it around your hair tie and securing it with a bobby pin. Give the rest of your ponytail some movement and volume with a spritz of TRESemmé Compressed Micro Mist Hairspray Boost Hold Level 3.
3. Twist the Whole Thing
If you love the twist style as much as we do, then go ahead and twist your whole ponytail! Make sure to twist both sections of hair separately before twisting them together. This will prevent them from coming loose throughout the day. Add some shine and hydration to your style by adding a little bit of TRESemmé Botanique Nourish & Replenish Leave-In Hydrating Mist before creating the look.
