Spray some of the TRESemmé Botanique Nourish and Replenish Mist to help smooth out your hair and prep it for styling. This lightweight mist contains aloe vera, coconut oil and coconutmilk that works to soften your hair while simultaneously working as a killer detangler.
Blow-dry your hair.
Work your way through your hair as you focus on getting your hair at least 90% dry. Since the still is focused on braids, you don’t need to go for the sleek blowout throughout your hair. However, you should focus on smoothening out the front of your hair, which will be front and center for this look.
Comb and separate your hair.
Comb through your dry hair. Then, create a middle part that starts at your forehead and goes all the way down to the nape of your neck, separating your hair into two even sections.
Create your pigtails.
Create two low ponytails that sit right behind the tops of your ears. Be sure to tie them securely. These ponytails will serve as the foundation of your style and will each be holding a braided bun up by itself.
Braid your hair.
Braid each ponytail into a three-strand braid and hold it together with a clear hair tie. You’re almost there!
Coil your hair.
Coil each braid around itself until a bun is formed and secure both buns with some bobby pins around the edges. These will keep the sides down and create the perfect coil shape that you’re aiming for.
