How to Create a Chic and Easy Low Chignon Hairstyle
You heard it here first: This season it’s all about the low bun.

If you’re like us, a bun of any sort always comes to the rescue on those bad hair days and last-minute outings — seriously, we are always down for any look that can be created in the backseat of a taxi! Our most favorite bun hairstyle of the moment is the low chignon. Of course it’s a chic style, but we like to think of it as the more romantic alternative to a top knot hairstyle. Especially when you dress it up with a nice LBD or LRD (little red dress) number. Read on as we explain how you can create this easy low chignon ’do at home in just a matter of minutes.
How to Create A Romantic and Easy Low Chignon Hairstyle
Start clean or refresh with dry shampoo.
Wash your hair or refresh with a dry shampoo, like TRESemmé Fresh Start Basic Care Dry Shampoo, to ensure that your hair is free from grease before creating your super easy low chignon style. You may not think this step is important, but a grease-free base leads to a fuller bun.

Create a ponytail.
Comb through your hair to detangle and use a boar bristle brush to smoothen. Gather your hair into a low ponytail and secure with a hair elastic. You can make your ponytail as tight or loose as you want.

Lock your low chignon in place.
Wrap the remaining ends into a donut-like bun, and use hairpins to secure in place.

Set your hair with hairspray.
To lock your final look in, use a hairspray. Spray a bit of the Dove Style & Care Strenght and Shine Flexible Hold Hairspray all over your hair and you’re good to go. We love how this hairspray adds shine while locking your hairstyle in place without feeling crunchy or stiff!
