Say goodbye to airplane hair.

Traveling these days is all about finding ways to combine comfort with style, right? Every time we look for an outfit to travel in, paparazzi images of celebrities exiting airports in oversized sunglasses and impeccable outfits come to mind. While there are no mobs of photographers waiting outside the airport terminals when we arrive, we are always looking for ways to keep our hair and style looking fresh, even after a long flight. Enter the ultimate in-flight hair hack where you can rock voluminous curls post-flight with minimal effort.  Get ready to take flight with these insider curly hair tips:

How to Walk Off the Plane With Voluminous Curls: No, Really!

This style is both chic and comfortable and yields the most beautiful voluminous curls.

1. Wash your hair before you fly.

To help create your curls and impart some volume to your hair, use a volumizing wash and care duo like the TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Pre-Wash Conditioner and the TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Shampoo. This pre-wash conditioning method is a great way to make your hair smooth and softness without weighing your curls down.

2. Air-dry and get to the airport.

Apply some mousse to your hair that you evenly distribute and scrunch through your hair with the help of your fingers. Let your hair air-dry as you finish packing (don’t ya just love the last-minute shuffle-ha!) and finally scoot out to the airport. After you passed through security, and likely when your hair is 95% dry, retreat to bathroom where you divide your hair into workable sections. Create mini twists in your hair (messy ones are ok!) that you collect into a twisted top knot on the top of your head, then use bobby pins to secure this messy knot in place. Make sure to secure the knot on the very top of your head so you won’t be leaning uncomfortably on your bun for the entire flight. Try to avoid using a hair tie so that your curls dry smoothly and you don’t end up with a ridge in the middle of them where the hair dried around the ponytail. Enjoy your flight with your hair out of your eyes and let the twisting do all the work.

3. Arrive and let your hair down.

The great part about this step is that you don’t even need a mirror. Simply take the bobby pins out and let your curls down. Run your fingers through the roots to your ends to loosen them up. Lock in your style with a quick spray of the Suave Professionals Luxe Style Infusion Anti-Humidity Hairspray. Done and no one will be the wiser about your clever hack to curly hair.
