1

Start with clean hair.

Start your curly braided hairstyle with clean and conditioned hair. For your particular hair type, use a curl care wash system, like TRESemmé Flawless Curls Shampoo and Conditioner. This duo works to nourish your hair while also helping to detangle and de-frizz your locks.

2

Apply some serum.

Allow your hair to air-dry, or dry it with a diffuser if you’re pressed for time. On dry hair, apply Suave Define and Shine Serum Gel throughout your hair. This lightweight serum works to nourish your hair, making it shiny and ready for styling.

3

Create a middle part.

Separate your hair into two even sections. Use the ends of your comb to further perfect your middle part. Use your fingers and your comb to refine and smooth down additional strands. Do this until you achieve a crisp and perfectly aligned middle part.

4

Section and braid.

Now it’s time to get braiding for your curly braided hairstyle! On your preferred side, start by dividing the top section of your hair into three pieces. Then, working at an angle, take the right piece across and over the middle, bringing it all the way to the left. Then take the left over the middle and cross over to the right. Do this until you reach the ends, and secure your braid with an elastic.

5

Repeat on the other side.

Repeat the three-strand braiding process on your other side.

6

Connect the braids

Bring your two braids to the middle of your head and tie them together with another elastic.

7

Lock in your style!

You did it! You achieved an easy curly braided hairstyle that you can wear with ease all day long. For some extra insurance that your style will last, spray on a hairspray, like TRESemmé Curl Locking Styling Spray, throughout your hair. This product works to resist humidity and to lock in your curls.
