Voluminous Curls: Wash & Go Style

Step 1: Wash your hair.

Cleanse and condition your hair with some of the Dove Quench Absolute Shampoo and Dove Quench Absolute Conditioner for a soft, moisturized and frizz-free finish.

Step 2: Apply defining product.

Now is the best time to part your hair in the direction you want it to fall. For super defined and touchable curls, apply a product that puts your curls into formation, keeps frizz under control, and provides hold. Smooth and rake TRESemmé Flawless Curls Extra Hold Mousse throughout your hair.

Step 3: Diffuse.

To dry, use a blowdryer with a diffuser attachment. Place the diffuser at the very ends of your hair to dry.

Step 4: Fluff, fluff, fluff.

Once your curls are completely dry use your hands to separate your curls. Use an afro pick to lift at the roots of your hair for maximal volume. Continue to fluff hair at the roots until you get the volume you desire and done.

Voluminous Curls with A Hair Wand

Step 1: Wash hair.

Since you’ll be using heat on your hair, it’s best to start off with a hair care system that drenches your hair with moisture. Wash hair with Suave Professionals Coconut Milk Infusion Deep Moisture Shampoo and Suave Professionals Coconut Milk Infusion Deep Moisture Conditioner.

Step 2: Prep with heat protectant.

This hairstyle calls for not one, but two heat styling tools. Prep hair with a heat protectant that’ll keep your curls protected. Spray TRESemmé Platinum Strength Heat Spray liberally all over damp hair.

Step 3: Blow-dry your hair.

A simple and easy way to blow-dry your hair is to use the tension method. Why this method works? For this voluminous style you don’t want to hair to become too straight. You’ll need a touch of texture to help enhance the big look. Simply hold hair taut at the ends and blow-dry from root to tip. Continue this method until your hair is completely dry.

Step 4: Section hair and add curls.

Beginning at the back, take a medium section of hair and wrap around your hair wand. Hold hair in place for a few seconds and release. Repeat this step for the remaining sections. Once all of your hair is curled, allow it to cool for a few seconds before moving on to the next step.

Step 5: Separate curls.

Warm a styling oil like Suave Moroccan Infusion Styling Oil into your hands then apply onto the surface of your hair to add shine then pull as many curls apart as you can to create the big hair effect. Take your afro pick or a wide tooth comb and give your roots a bit of lift.

Step 6: Set your style.

Get your curly hairstyle to last with the use of a climate protection spray to keep hair in check no matter what Mother Nature has in store for you. Finish your look off with TRESemmé Climate Protection Finishing Spray.
