It’s such an exhilarating feeling now that New York Fashion Week is back with in-person runway shows. The Alice and Olivia SS2022 show sported bejeweled boho braids, created by TRESemmé Global Stylist, Justine Marjan. The braided hairstyles were full of bright monochrome colors, accessories, bejeweled pieces, and ribbons–we could not be more excited about this look!

These bejeweled boho braids can easily be made into a wearable everyday look depending on how many accessories you opt for.
1. Create Soft Waves
When working with hot tools, it’s so important to use a heat protectant because it will help prevent any unwanted damage to your strands. To protect your hair, spritz TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Heat Protect Spray throughout. We love this particular spray because it’s very easy to apply and uses keratin and African Marula oil to smooth strands, add shine, and fight frizz.
Next, part your hair down the center and add waves. Using a flat iron, create waves in your hair by bending the tool upwards and downwards. This leads to an overall soft wavy texture throughout.

3. Section Your Hair and Begin Bejeweled Boho Braids
Part your hair down the middle, then split into two halves. Begin braiding each half like you would a regular 3-strand braid. To achieve that bejeweled boho braids look, make sure to weave strings of pearls and playful ribbons into each braid.
4. Accessorize Bejeweled Boho Braids
Now, this is where the fun part comes in! Add more accessories by placing bejeweled accents, pearls, and bows onto each braid. There’s no right or wrong way to do this; feel free to add however many you want!
