World Sleep Day: Alter Your Hair Routine to Catch Up On Sleep

Get over the Daylight Savings hump with this.

Today is World Sleep Day, and if you’re just like us, we can’t pass up on any opportunity to get some good ol’ beauty rest. We can’t stress how important it is to sleep! Those precious zzz’s can help you get along better with others, fall sick less often and reduce stress. It has also been said that the lack of sleep can negatively impact the hair growth process.

Listen up: We want you to make sleep a priority. Below we’ve rounded up our go-to tips, products and tricks that will help you get the rest you need:

1. Use a fast-rinse technology conditioner.

The folks over at Love Beauty and Planet focus on products that are environmentally friendly. However, in honor of World Sleep Day, we can’t help but see how using products from the brand can help save us some time and incorporate a few more hours of sleep into our routine. Use any conditioner from their lines, like Love Beauty and Planet Smooth and Serene Argan Oil & Lavender Conditioner, to benefit from the brand’s fast-rinse technology (plus that divine lavender scent = super relaxing!). This helps you speed up your wash-day process, giving you more time to rest.

2. Take advantage of 2-minute hair masks.

Are you one that rather treat your strands to a deep treatment under 10 minutes? If so, we know how that deep conditioning or hair masking can take up so much time. There are days when you just don’t have the energy to sit around with a hair mask in your hair. Consider deep conditioning with Love Beauty and Planet Blooming Color Murumuru Butter & Rose 2-Minute Magic Masque for stronger, shinier hair.

3. Curl hair overnight.

There are a number of ways one could create a curly hairstyle that doesn’t involve heat. If you’re not in the mood to wake up early to painstakingly curl hair with a curling iron, then do it the night before. Pin-curl your hair before bed and take advantage of sleeping in honor of World Sleep Day!
