The Easy Third-Day Hair Trend We’re Obsessed With
Nope, second-day hair isn't cutting it anymore.
This season, the street style set is taking lived-in hair to a whole different level. When we think about lived-in hairstyles, you can imagine a hairdo that has a slightly messy look that gives the overall style a beautifully “undone” appearance. Now, it’s time to switch gears. It’s all about hairstyles that look like you woke up with no first, to second, but third-day hair. That’s right! The messier the look and feel of your hair, all the better. Here are some of our favorite third-day hair looks spotted on the streets of Paris.
Get the Look: Third-Day Hair from the Streets of Paris
1. Grunge Hair
This super disheveled look has more texture than one can possibly bear, but get used to it. We predict that you’ll be spotting this hair trend all season long, so you might as well learn how you can recreate it. Take cues from the French when it comes to styling to help you nail the look. After washing your hair, twist the ends in jumbo twists and allow to air-dry. Afterwards, scrunch the ends by cupping them with your hands to loosen up the texture. Spray with TRESemmé TRES Two Freeze Hold Hairspray to set your look in place.
2. The Wet Third-Day Hairstyle
The wet hair gets yet another makeover. This one seems like a no-brainer, and it is! Comb your hair back and use a gel, like TRESemmé TRES Two Mega Firm Control Gel to create a sleek and smooth base, focusing on your roots. Work the gel throughout the ends of hair, allow it to dry and you’re done!
3. The Super Textured Lob
Give the wavy lob hairstyle a rest this season and trade it for this not-so-fresh ’do—and we totally mean that in a good way. You can recreate this look with a salt spray. On damp hair, apply Suave Professionals Texturizing Sea Salt Spray to the ends of your hair, then diffuse until dry. Go back in with a serum like TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Shine Serum to add a little bit of sheen to your hair. Don’t want shine? Skip the serum.
