There won’t be any selfies happening if your hair is not up to par. Pack the right essentials and you’re good to go!

1. Dry Shampoo

We’re pretty sure you won’t have much time during your weekend getaway for washing and styling your hair every single day from scratch. Be sure to pack a dry shampoo to quickly refresh your hair on the go, like Dove Detox & Purify Dry Shampoo. When you get back home, book an appointment at the salon and get the works! There’s nothing like a fresh start in September anyway!

2. Hairpins

Going somewhere hot? It’s not ideal to have your hair hanging on your neck when you’re sweating. Hair and sweat equal frizz. Pull your hair up into a loose low bun and lock it in place with some carefully placed hairpins. No hair ties needed.

3. Leave-in Conditioner

Here’s a tip: If you’re carrying on, squeeze your favorite leave-in conditioner into a TSA-friendly bottle. You’ll be needing a leave-in conditioner if you need to re-moisturizer your hair. Our current favorite is the multifunctional Suave Professionals Honey 10-in-1 Leave In Conditioner. You can also use it as a heat protectant and a moisturizer, thus eliminating the need to pack any extra hair products.

4. Serum

No matter your location, a shiny hairstyle is always great for dinner or a night out on the town. Pack a bottle of TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Shine Serum into your luggage to create fancy and shiny hairstyles. Another reason to have serum is to prevent frizz, before you head out massage a few drops throughout your hair to keep your style in place.

5. Boar Bristle Brush

Since we’re aiming for packing light, the only hair combing/brushing tool we suggest you add to your kit is a boar bristle brush, like the Ibiza OC7 Oval Flat Hair Brush. This brush helps to you smoothen your hair when styling. You can also opt for care-free styles that involve finger-combing instead to make styling even easier.
