Start with Straight Hair
While you technically don’t have to straighten your hair for this style, we think the part will look most noticeable and dramatic if you start with the sleekest base possible. You could even just blow dry your hair if you don’t like to use straighteners. Whatever you choose, make sure to use heat protectant to avoid damaging your hair. Separate Your Hair into Three Sections
Create three different sections, take a small section of hair from the front, horizontally from all around the crown of your head. Split the back section into two, vertically. This will give you the start of a double part!

Secure Each Section
Use bobby pins to secure the front section discretely in the back. For the back two sections, go for two tight buns to add to the slick updo. Make them low buns or semi-high, but if you put them too high they’ll take away from the double part.
