Trying to stay warm in these frigid temperatures is a full-time job across the country these days. We’re piling on sweaters and socks, cranking the heat and drinking lots of hot tea while trying our very best to stay warm. We’re all for making the best of a difficult (and frigid) situation and taking this time stuck inside to try out some new hairstyles. This cozy winter style, in particular, has us feeling chic while we cuddle up on the couch and even when we’re out there braving the wind and chill.
This look is easy to recreate and the results are super chic and effortless. While you’re stuck inside avoiding those frigid temperatures, try your hand at this easy cozy winter style:
The Easiest Cozy Winter Style
This style works equally well on clean hair and strands that could use a wash so whatever you’re working with will yield great results. Start off by prepping your hair with Dove Style+Care Smooth and Shine Heat Protection Spray and combing the product through your strands. This heat protection spray will give you a barrier between your hair and your flat iron and minimize any damage done to your tresses. It also smells fantastic. Once you’ve combed the product through your hair, use your flat iron to straighten your hair from root to tip. Hold the iron on the ends of your hair to seal in that stick straight look.
Once your hair is completely straight, warm up just a drop of Nexxus Oil Infinite Nourishing Hair Oil between your palms and comb your fingers through the ends of your hair. Avoid your roots so that you don’t give your strands a greasy feel.
Use a rat tail comb to draw an uneven part through your hair and then gather all of your strands up into a low, loose bun at the back of your head. Before securing the bun with a hair tie, pull a few pieces out in front. Wrap the hair tie around the bun and then pull the bun away from your head to loosen the style and add some volume.
