The weather outside is frightful, and a spa day sounds so delightful!

It’s that time of year again: Winter has settled in and snow days are officially upon us. Despite it being freezing, we can’t lie, we love it when it snows a little bit extra and gives us all a snow day! If you find yourself snowed in sometime this season, have no fear, we know exactly what you need to do. Take this time and treat yourself to a much-needed spa day! Light a couple of candles, put on some soothing music and spray all the rosewater facial spray in the world.

While you’re at it, don’t forget to show your hair some lovin’, too. Give your dry, tired strands the refresh they need before all the snow melts and it’s back to reality. Read on for our fave treatments:

Hair Treatments to Try When You’re Snowed In

snowed in hair mask
Drench your strands in a hydrating mask!

Use a hydrating hair mask.

The first treatment you need to do when you’re snowed in is a hydrating hair mask. Your hair is most likely dry and brittle from colder weather and overuse of hot tools. Bring back the moisture in your strands and give them an extra soft finish by coating them in Dove Hair Mask + Minerals Strengthens + White Clay . This mask is with white clay to strengthen and smooth hair, which is perfect for deep conditioning damaged and dry hair for softer strands.

Refresh your scalp.

If you’ve been suffering from dry hair or scalp then you need to add a pre-shower scalp scrub to your snowed in spa day. The Good Stuff Complete Repair Balm is formulated to soothe and help repair dry skin and hair at the root. Slather this on all over your scalp and let it soak in for 5-10 minutes. This is perfect to do right at the tail end of your masking so you can rinse both of in the shower.

snowed in spa day hair oil
Coat your hair in oil to give it the moisture it deserves!

Finish with a reparative hair oil.

Once you’ve washed out your hair mask, it’s time to put an extra seal of protection and nourishment. Coat your strands in Love Beauty and Planet Hope and Repair Coconut Oil & Ylang Ylang 3-in-1 Benefit Oil. This hair oil will nourish your strands and also prevent split ends.

For the natural haired gals we highly recommend using Suave Professionals Castor Oil & Mango Butter for Natural Hair and Scalp Oil. This oil is formulated to nourish your scalp and your strands, so feel free to coat as much of your hair length as you want.

As we spend more time inside due to the cold and occasional snow day, there’s extra time to treat yourself and your hair! Give one or all of these treatments a try and perfect your snowed in spa day routine.
