LaQuan has a lot of beautiful fabrics and silhouettes in his collection. I drew inspiration from the materials by noticing how the sequin and satin reflected and bounced off the light. I wanted the same feelings for the hair – shiny and reflective.

Step One: Heat Protect Your Hair

Prepare your hair for your stylish ponytail by beginning to work TRESemmé One Step Blowout Balm into damp hair from roots to ends to smooth. This will help to protect against heat, reduce frizz, and boost shine. Then, rough-dry the product into the hair with a flat paddle brush.
Step Two: Part and Section Hair

Once hair is completely dry, part out a large section of hair using the arch of the eyebrows as a guide on the width and parting back to the crown of the head for length. Proceed to clip this section of the hair away.
Step Three: Create the Long Ponytail

Gather the remaining hair into a low ponytail positioned at the back of your head. Then, using TRESemmé’s Mega Control Gel, seal the look while providing the look with a long-lasting shine. Finally, secure the look in place with an elastic.
Step Four: Start Working on the Top Section of Your Hair

Release the top section from the clip. Then apply the TRESemmé Mega Control Gel with a wide tooth comb to create height and a raked effort. Afterward, use a second elastic to secure this section of hair into the ponytail as well.
Step Five: Add Extra Hold to Your Hair

Apply TRESemmé Mega Control Gel to the parts of the hair to assist with extra hold. If you are creating this hairstyle for shorter hair lengths, lay the hair along the spine or middle of the neck while applying the gel.
Step Six: Add Finishing Touches to The Satin Ponytail

Finish off your look with finishing touches to complete the style with a satin finish. This can be achieved by applying TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Shine Serum to the top of the head and the ponytail.
