“I wanted to bring out every girl’s unique textures and integrate them into this look’s finishings,” Redway says. Keep reading to learn how Redway achieved this look and how you can recreate it at home:
Freestyle Pony: Jason Wu AW21
1. Prep and protect.
Start by prepping and protecting your hair by spraying TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Heat Protect Spray throughout.
2. Part hair.
To create a super edgy and trendy look inspired by the runway, part your hair clean down the center.
3. Add some volume.
Rough dry hair as needed with a blow dryer, using your hands to guide the hair.
4. Soften the look.
Use a small amount of TRESemmé TRES Flawless Curls Extra Hold Mousse to create wispies around the hairline.
5. Secure your style.
Gather hair at the nape of the deck and secure with an elastic.
6. Add the finishing touches.
Take a small section of hair from underneath the ponytail and saturate it with TRESemmé TRES Two Extra Hold Hair Spray, then wrap it around your hair tie. Use your fingers to loosen the ponytail, creating natural texture.
