Slicked Back Side Part from Sally LaPointe NYFW F/W 2018

Chic and understated is the name of the game.

If there’s one hairstyle we cannot seem to get over, it’s the slicked back hairstyle. Complement the look with a deep side part and you’ve got yourself an elevated look. The slicked back side part look is truly one of the easiest looks to ace, and honestly, we all don’t require any advanced hairstyling skills to make this runway look from Sally LaPointe F/W ’18 an instant reality.

According to TRESemmé hairstylist Holli Smith, “Keeping the hair sleek and shiny adds to the polished and understated feel of the look.” How does one do that at home? Employ a few heavy-hitters from TRESemmé and you’re well on your way to recreating this chic and understated style.

Step 1: Treat your hair with a mask.

Start by using TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Deep Smoothing Mask to protect hair against humidity, boost shine and leave locks smooth. Follow by washing hair with TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Shampoo and Keratin Smooth Conditioner to minimize frizz. If you prefer to change the order of operation here, you can also shampoo, mask and rinse.

Step 2: Add shine to hair.

Work TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Shine Serum through hair, avoiding the roots, to add extra shine and create a polished look.

Step 3: Part and blow-dry.

Create a deep side part and set with a blowdryer. Follow with a flat iron for a sleek look.
