A runway hairstyle you can create in under five minutes.

A few minutes backstage at New York Fashion Week will confirm that effortless and textured hairstyles are two trends that aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. We went backstage at Creatures of Comfort’s New York Fashion Week show to talk to celebrity stylist Justine Marjan all about the easy and effortless look she created for the runway. We especially love how textured hairstyles like these are super easy to create yet still stylish.

Celebrity hairstylist Justine Marjan gives us an inside look at some of her favorite TRESemmé products.

“We’re giving the impression that they just got back from the desert or safari and ran their hands through their hair,” Marjan says. “It’s very natural. We’re keeping their hair as is and sweeping it back away from their faces. Creatures of Comfort always wants something more effortless and minimal when it comes to the hair and I feel like this style really reflects the collection.”

How to Create the Look: Textured Hairstyles

Step 1: Wash your hair.

Start by washing your hair with the TRESemmé Repair and Protect 7 Shampoo and the TRESemmé Repair and Protect 7 Conditioner. This will give your strands extra protection against breakage.

Step 2: Apply the product.

Apply a heavy amount of the TRESemmé TRES Two Mousse to rough, air-dried hair. Rake the mousse through the hair.

Step 3: Spray into place.

Spray the TRESemmé TRES Two Hair Spray all over your hair for added hold.

The key is to let the mousse set into the hair so it doesn’t fall forward,” Marjan suggests. “The big takeaway is to not fight your natural hair texture and just to embrace it and I think we’re seeing a lot more of that at fashion week in general.
