Girl’s Spa Night via FaceTime: We’ll Plan Your R&R Schedule for You

Just cue up the FaceTime and we'll plan the rest.

It’s finally the weekend! And while we’re used to celebrating by meeting up with our friends for dinner, drinks, or a stay-in spa treatment, right now we have to stay home. We know, total bummer, but totally necessary. It’s tough to be apart from our friends for this long and everyone is craving some TLC and much-needed normalcy. We’re here to shake you out of the funk and recommend a girl’s spa night via FaceTime or other video call services. We even planned your schedule out for you and made a list of product recommendations. Call up your girls this weekend and treat yourselves, together, virtually.

Girl’s Spa Night: Treat Yourself to R+R with Your Gals via FaceTime

1. Start with a Hair Mask

Follow this recipe to softer, shinier strands.

The first step to a girl’s spa night is also our fave step. We might be a little biased, but let’s start with hair masking. There are plenty of at-home masks you can create which would be a fun way to get crafty with the gals. We love banana hair masks for their ability to make your hair smoother and shinier! Leave it on anywhere between 15 minutes-2 hours and you’ll see a difference.

For those of you looking for something formulated with a little something extra that’s guaranteed to work with your strands, we’ve got a few recommendations:

For Coils and Curls: Dove Amplified Textures Moisture Spa Recovery Mask

This mask is perfect for our curly-haired gals who may find their strands a little dry and damaged. We love how this mask reduces breakage and leaves you with strong, shiny, and protected curls.

For Colored Hair: TRESemmé Botanique Color Vibrance & Shine Intensive Mask

If you’re one of the lucky ladies trying to *gracefully* rock grown out roots, we’re here for you and stand with you like women in the same situation. While we know it’s unreasonable to think we can save your color from growing out, we can recommend this hair mask that will help keep what color you do have vibrant and in tact.

For Damaged Hair: Nexxus Clean & Pure Nourishing Detox Conditioning Foam

Use this product as a leave-in conditioner to detox your strands. This product works to replenish moisture while giving volume to fine, flat hair. This product is perfect you’ve been neglecting your strands.

2. Create a Homemade Face Mask

Now that your hair is smothered in some feel-good hair products, it’s time to get your face on the same level. We highly recommend creating an at-home face mask for your girl’s spa night. One of our faves consists of a mashed up banana (staying on theme), 1/4 cup of plain yogurt, and 2 tablespoons of honey. Mix all your ingredients together and let it sit on your skin for 10-20 minutes. This will leave your face super soft and moisturized.

3. End with Drinking Tea and Painting Nails

Now you’re officially all lathered up! What better way to let all your masking sit than having girl talk over a cup of calming chamomile or mint tea? If you’re still looking for more beautification activities, why not paint your nails? During this time you can even rinse out your hair mask and put in a scalp serum to treat your skin. We highly recommend Love Beauty and Planet Soothe & Nourish Hemp Seed Oil & Nana Leaf Scalp Serum for a moisturized and calmed scalp.

We know it’s tough not being able to have the real girl’s spa night experience together. But a video chat is the next best thing. Having your friends with you virtually can push you to finally give yourself the at-home hair and face care you’ve been in need of all week.
