1. Refresh your hair.

Start off by refreshing your roots with a few sprays of Dove Refresh+Care Volume and Fullness Dry Shampoo. Make sure to hold the can 8-12 inches away from your hair and to spray in sweeping motions. Once you’ve applied the product, let it sit for a minute before massaging it in with your fingers. This will allow the product to absorb into your roots, take care of any excess oil, and give your updo some noticeable volume.

2. Create the base of the style.

Gather your hair and create a loose, messy three-strand braid that extends down your back.

3. Pin it in place.

Grab your bobby pins and pin the braid to the base of your style. The messier, the better.

4. Secure the style.

Give your finished look a mist of TRESemmé Compressed Micro Mist Hairspray Texture Hold Level 1 to add some hold and even more texture. This style is all about that messy look and this hairspray will give you that added dose of that coveted Pinterest-inspired texture.

Add a barrette or a few sparkling bobby pins to make the look even more fun!
