Scalp Micropigmentation: Everything You Need to Know
Either a tattoo-like machine or hair tool can be used for this, and it’s in a certain dotting pattern that gives a scalp-like illusion. Why do this? It’s a great way to have something that can conceal the spots of worry on your scalp and boost your confidence simultaneously. Here’s everything you need to know before starting the Scalp Micropigmentation process.
How Does Scalp Micropigmentation Differ From Microblading?
Micropigmentation and Microblading have similar concepts. However, while microblading is done with a thin needle that mimics drawing, micropigmentation uses a semi-permanent tattoo device that adds pigment to imitate one’s scalp. Essentially, both are the same concept with different techniques. Although microblading is more gentle, more allergic reactions are common. Micropigmentation also lasts twice as long compared to microblading.

Micropigmentation can take up to five hours to complete. It all depends on what you want to get done and your skin type. The needle will enter the dermis part of your skin. Keep in mind that this process takes about 2-4 sessions. The dots entering your scalp size will be determined through the angle and section the person performing is working on. We recommend starting with a clean scalp before this procedure, as it is not advisable to not wash your hair for three days after this procedure. We love gentle shampoos such as Love Beauty and Planet Hope and Repair Coconut Oil & Ylang Ylang Sulfate-Free Shampoo. Pair it with its Love Beauty and Planet Hope and Repair Coconut Oil & Ylang Ylang Conditioner.
