Inspiring pixie cuts we love from Instagram.
More and more pixie haircuts have been showing up our Instagram feed as of late, giving us some major short hair envy. If you’re ready to go for the big chop you might need some inspiration to help you figure out what direction, angle and even how short you want your pixie cut to go. The beauty of this chop is how many options you actually have to create a short crop that works for your personality and lifestyle. Read on to discover a few of our favorite pixie haircuts from Instagram that might just inspire your next look.
Inspiring Pixie Haircuts We Love
1. Spiky Red Pixie Cut
Patricia a.k.a @princessstiefel, a professed makeup junkie shows you how the standard pixie haircut is anything but boring. We just love the combination of her deep red hair and a pixie cut that’s often seen in various hairstyles, including this super modern spiky look.
2. Pixie Undercut
This two-in-one hairstyle is a great idea if you want to try a short length underneath and still rock some texture on the top. Sylvia a.ka.@silviagullon has certainly mastered this pixie and undercut combination that she often wears spiky, flat or to the side. We love checking out her feed for inspiring ways to style this short crop. To get the look to stay in place she noted that she uses fixative spray and hair wax.
3 Angled Pixie Haircut
As for natural hair, we are loving the angled hair pixie haircut that we saw over on @VoiceofHair, an Instagram page that highlights hairstylists from all over the world. This pixie haircut was featured on @Nikki_h_stylist whose cut is signified by its shorter sides and longer section towards the front, giving the wearer options when styling.
4. Slicked Down Pixie
@TahiraJoy, Co-Founder of The Cut Life and Creator of Tahira Joy looks slamming in her slicked back pixie haircut. When we spoke to her she shared so tips about the styling: “My stylist, Erica Hudson, swears by a foam wrap to create these soft finger-waves. I also use firm hold gel to keep the style in place.”

5. Blonde Pixie Cut
Melinda Keener of @hairbymelindak certainly knows hair. As the creator of Hair by Melinda K and Owner of Fringe Salon in Goldsboro, North Carolina, she specializes in balayage, blonde and short cuts for her clients. For herself, she styles her angled pixie haircut with some texturizing creams and clay. She noted, “I spray it at the root area for some lift and grip. Then, I finish the style off with some firm hold hairspray. It doesn’t make my hair look hard or crispy like most sprays. It’s great for pixies.”
