It’s a Win-Win: How to Create Victory Rolls

Issa vibe: Create an awesome vintage hairstyle with victory rolls.

We are always amazed when we check out vintage hairstyles. The level of styling and detail makes us admire (and be in total awe of) how women used to style their hair. It really was a craft, especially in the ’40s, when  rolls and wraps were a signature style. In an attempt to try new looks, we’ve been eyeing retro rockabilly hairstyles, often called victory rolls. These seriously cool styles are renowned for their rolled look at the crown of your hair held together by some good old fashion bobby pins.  This hairdo is a volume-seeker’s dream and only takes a few steps to master.

Read on to learn more about you can create your own victory rolls updo in minutes:

Ed’s tip: This hairstyle requires some practice to master, and if it isn’t a part of your norm, you’ll probably need a few times before you perfect the look. Another way to have fun with it is to really get into this era by adding a snood or a scarf as an added accessory, which also helps keep this style in place during your downtime!
