Get the Renaissance Look from Altuzarra FW2017

A modern spin on medieval times.

During New York Fashion Week, we loved how the hair at Altuzarra had a medieval theme. During the 15th Century, women favored high foreheads (as a status symbol) and went as far as plucking their hairlines to get the look. As a styling hack, for those who still couldn’t achieve the look, they opted for using turbans or headdresses to hide their forehead or pull their hair back. For a modern spin on this look, models were sent down the Altuzarra runway with pulled-back ponytails wearing thick and textured headbands, some were even adorned with pearl embellishments. If you want to try your hand on this look, read on to learn how you can channel the Renaissance look straight off the runway.
