How to Create a Fun Straight Hairstyle with Nikki Phillippi
Wash and condition your hair.
Before creating your hairstyle, start clean. Wash your hair with a wash and care system like Suave Professionals Honey Infusion Shampoo and Suave Honey Infusion Conditioner. This system helps to clean and nourish, while also protecting it from frizz.
Air-dry your hair.
After washing your hair, spray your hair with the TRESemmé Repair & Protect 7 Pre Styling Spray to prime your locks before flat ironing. Allow your hair to air-dry.
Section your hair and flat iron.
Separate your hair into workable sections. Then begin flat ironing small sections of your hair, starting at the back. As you glide the flat iron down each section be sure to go slow (but not too slow) and steady to ensure a smooth and even finish.
Curl your bangs.
After flat ironing your hair, create a deep side part, then curl your bangs away from your face with a curling iron.
Twist hair to one side and set your style.
After curling your bangs, create a section on the opposite side of your hair and twist it down to the ends. Once you’ve finished your twist, pin it back underneath your back section of hair. Set your style in place with a strong-hold hairspray like Nexxus New York Salon CareMaxximum Finishing Mist.
Now you have a fun straight hairstyle! Go ahead and strut your stuff with your new look.
