It’s heating up! Our top hair hacks to stay fresh and cute even on the hottest day!
As the weather gets hotter and hotter, we can now do a bunch of fun summer activities that we couldn’t before (whoop whoop!). However, a day out on a super hot day may come with some challenges in the hair department…
Although we love that warm sunshine feel on our face, on a very hot day the heat can leave you and your hair looking not-so-cute. To stay fresh and keep your hair looking its best even on the hottest day, we’ve got some tips! Read on to find out more hair hacks to stay fresh.
Hack 1: Dry Shampoo it!
On a particularly hotter than hot day you’re definitely going to sweat! And that means your hair won’t be as fresh smelling or looking as when you started the day off. A simple hack that will help to eliminate any “sweaty” odour and remove excess oil or build-up is dry shampoo.

If you’re out and about we suggest keeping a can of the TONI&GUY Instant Refresh Dry Shampoo in your bag to refresh your hair in a matter of minutes.
Hack 2: Keep it ‘wet’

Put down the hair irons and diffusers, a super hot day is the perfect time to rock a wet look. All you need to do is wash or wet your hair in the morning, add in some product, and you’re good to go! A simple but effective hair hack that will definitely keep you cool and looking cute.
Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen & Restore Leave-in Conditioner is perfect to keep your hair moisturised and protected on a hot day out. If you’re going for a bit more of a structured look try the VO5 Wet Look Styling Gel to hold your look throughout the day.
Hack 3: It’s an updo day

If your hair is already dry and you can’t quite “re-wet” it, we’ve got you covered. Creating a sassy updo is another great look for a hot summery day. Keeping your hair up and away from your neckline will keep you cooler, plus avoid any hair from sticking to your face and neck if you do build up a sweat.
Some of our favourite updos are top knots, braided buns and of course high ponytails. These looks are simple to create but will add a whole lot of cute to your look!
Hack 4: Use some SP-H

One of our last must-try hair hacks to stay fresh is some SPH (sun protection hats). Summer hats are yo’ girl when you’re going out on a hot day and want to stay cute. Whether it’s a bucket hack, a cap or a wide brimmed beach hat, adding one to your look will help to protect your hair from those harsh sun rays and give your face and ears some shade so that you don’t heat up too much.
