New Year, New You: 3 Gym Hair Ideas for Your New Membership

Major gym hair goals ahead.

“On January 1st, I’m hitting the gym,” says literally everyone ever, come resolution time. Going to the gym is a great resolution to keep your body healthy and strong. However, many of us shy away from the gym because we don’t want to sacrifice our fresh blowouts for a good sweat (not gonna lie!). To help you out with your hair game, we’ve compiled a list of three gym hair ideas that are cute and functional at the same time. See you at the sweatbox, my friends!

Chic Gym Hair Ideas for Your Workout

1. Space Buns

For the girl that’s always on the move, you can use space buns as a way to give your hair a treatment on the go, or in this case, while you work out. Before wrapping your hair into this style, apply a treatment like The Good Stuff Weightless Protection Mist. After gym class, hit the shower, rinse and carry out the rest of your hair care routine. Bet you didn’t think of this!

2. Loose Side Bun

This gym hairstyle is perfect for preserving loose curls or wavy hairstyles while you get your workout in. To keep your hair out of your face, use hairpins. After your workout, release your bun, use some dry shampoo to soak up any excess oil and finger-comb once your hair is dry (when drenched from sweat) to prevent frizz. To finish your style, use a hairspray like Dove Style+Care Extra Hold Hairspray to help set your loose curls after your workout session.

3. Top Knot with Headband

Save your hairline while you workout. There’s nothing like having a nice sleek hairstyle with slick and tame edges. However, once you hit the gym and start to produce a sweat, you can say goodbye to all of your efforts. Tie your hair up into a top knot and protect your hairline with a headband. When you sweat, your headband absorbs the moisture while keeping your hairline down. If you need to absorb some grease post-workout, opt for using a dry shampoo like Dove Refresh+Care Detox & Purify Dry Shampoo to refresh.
