Marvel mania: Find Love and Thunder with these Marvel-inspired hairstyles
With the recent release of Thor Love & Thunder, plus the years of awesome MCU movies that we’ve watched, we couldn’t help but be inspired by the spirit of Marvel and its characters.
Saving the world and looking pretty stylish while doing it are what some of our fave heroes are known for. From Asgardian gods to Wakandan royals, from super soldiers to genetically enhanced humans, Marvel has served us some incredible characters with equally amazing hairstyles.
It was a tough call, but here are a few of our top Marvel-inspired hairstyles that you can recreate.
Captain Marvel’s Short Pixie

If you’re in the mood for a big chop and are looking for a fearless short style, look no further! Avengers Endgame brought a whole new look to the blonde powerhouse, Captain Marvel. Carol Danvers chopped her longer locks and opted for a short, edgy pixie cut to go save the world.
To spice up this short cut even more, run some of the TRESemmé Volume & Lift Mousse through your hair, pushing it backwards to create texture and volume.
M’Baku’s Sharp Blade Cut

Another bold short style that can be rocked by the gents (or ladies) is this blade cut style worn by M’Baku in Black Panther. This blade cut has no gradual fade, creating a sharp, prominent line — worthy of any Marvel warrior.
Top tip: Don’t forget to trim the sides regularly to maintain the sharp, defined look.
Black Widow’s Iconic Red Hair

A style that we couldn’t leave out comes from one of the OG Avengers, Black Widow. Her short, bright red curls and waves have become an iconic hairstyle in the MCU.
Once you go red you will have to give your hair some extra TLC. We recommend washing your hair with the Dove Nutritive Solutions Colour Care Shampoo and Conditioner to keep your colour looking vibrant for longer.
Hawkeye’s mohawk

An unexpected hairstyle switch-up also came from Avenger Hawkeye, in the Avengers Endgame movie. Hawkeye (AKA Clint Barton) revealed his striking, sharp, mohawk and black attire as his new badass image for the movie. To create this look, keep your sides super short and grow the top of your hair — a standout bold hero style.
Shuri’s Micro-Braids

Black Panther’s genius sister, Princess Shuri, has some of the best and most intricate hairstyles in the MCU. Unique braided designs and updos are her signature styles. Not only are these micro-braids fit for royalty, but they can also be personalised and accessorised to your liking.
Thor’s Half-up Hair

One of the latest looks to return to the MCU is Thor’s half-up, long blonde hair. Thor Love and Thunder shows off this Viking-inspired look and gives us all the feels (personally, we love long-haired Thor)!
If you’re growing out your hair, try adding the Organics Silky Smooth Shampoo & Conditioner to your wash routine for smooth, nourished hair.
Valkyrie’s Braided Ponytail

Thor Love & Thunder gave us a few other stunning Viking-inspired ‘dos. One being Valkyrie’s fierce, braided back ponytail. The look requires you to create braids and tie it up and back into a high ponytail.
For an even edgier look, Valkyrie has rocked this style with additional side braids and a mini bun — if you’re feeling a little extra, we’d highly recommend this.
Doctor Strange’s Side-parted Quiff

A look that’s been around, but that we can’t get enough of, is Dr Strange’s side-parted quiff style. The great thing about a quiff is that it’s a classic, but can also be tweaked to suit your own individual style.

To keep this look sleek and perfectly in place, run a small amount of the TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Shine Oil through the lengths of your hair.
