Who says you can’t rock the sporty style outside of the gym? To give this sporty New York Fashion Week style a chic look, you’ll need some hair accessories. By weaving a ribbon through the pony to create the perfect imperfect look. It becomes chic, fun and sporty all wrapped up in one ‘do.

Seven steps are needed for this look. To begin, prep your hair with TRESemmé Instant Refresh Cleansing Dry Shampoo to add texture. Gather your hair halfway up and secure with an elastic. Gather the remaining hair and secure with an elastic at the nape of the neck. If you’re lacking length, pop in some extensions at the top of the pony to begin braiding. This slicked back, almost wet-looking ‘do is modern but timeless and easy to manage. An ideal ‘do for the workplace, this New York Fashion Week look stays stunning so you can carry on conquering your day.

Ready yourself, ten steps are needed to pull this one off. Firstly, separate your hair into four quadrants (left-side, top, right-side and bottom). Starting with the section at the nape, add tension and saturate with TRESemmé Botanic Hair Food. This will style and nourish your hair.

Slowly add horizontal sections from the top quadrant, brushing and bringing into a low ponytail and secure with your hand. Continue through the top sections until all hair is brought into the ponytail. Brush the right and left quadrant into the ponytail, pulling straight back with tension and hairspray.

Flat iron any bangs that need to be smoothed into the style, and smooth back into the look with TRESemmé Volume and Lift Mousse. Smooth all the mousse in the front and tie all hair back on top of the ponytail together at the back. Squeeze the hair mousse into the palm of your hand. Using the tail of your comb, add mousse gently to any flyaways or bumps in your ‘do.

Now, split the hair in your ponytail into two sections. Twist each section outward with hair gel. Twist these sections around the base of the ponytail, pinning into a bun as you go.
