The best hairstyles at the Golden Globes 2019
1. Lucy Boynton’s tousled bob
One surefire way to own the red carpet is with a showstopping haircut. And, actress Lucy Boynton did just that with this soft, voluminous wavy bob. If you’ve been thinking about getting a cut, this is the sign you’ve been waiting for.
Editor’s tip: When it comes tousled bobs, volume is everything! If you want long-lasting, visibly thicker strands, we suggest you try the TRESemmé Collagen+ Fullness Thickening Balm.
Smooth a small amount into your palm and spread it evenly through damp hair before blow drying, to achieve this airy look.
2. Caitriona Balfe’s ’90s hair
If you needed further proof that ’90s hair slides are here to stay, this is it. The best way to wear them? With a glossy blunt cut bob, just like Caitriona Balfe’s.
3. Lupita Nyong’o’s natural slicked ‘do
Anyone else wondering when Lupita Nyong’o’s hair will receive a lifetime achievement award? For the ceremony, the star wore her natural hair blown out and swept back, complete with blue tassel detailing at the ends.

You’ve heard it straight from Penélope Cruz: vintage updo hairstyles aren’t going anywhere anytime soon! So, which retro hairstyle will you be swearing by this year?
6. Emily Blunt’s fishtail braid
If anyone’s going to convince you how to learn how to master a fishtail plait, it’s Merry Poppins star Emily Blunt. For the ceremony, she worked her mane into this romantic fishtail braid, which we’re positive will be a hit on Valentine’s day.
Editor’s tip: The secret to perfecting your plaits? Using a braid balm, like the TONI&GUY Flexible Hold Braid Balm. This nifty product will give your hair added grip and structure, making it easier to braid and ensuring it stays in place longer.
7. Janelle Monae’s low braided buns
Always one to make a statement with her look, Janelle Monae stayed true to her risk-taking ways by coordinating low box braided buns with a golden Jackie Kennedy-inspired hat.

Model of the moment Emily Ratajkowski shocked fans when she stepped out with a brand new bob at the Golden Globes 2017 awards ceremony, this year. But don’t be fooled: this was the workings of a faux bob!
We heard through the grapevine that Emily didn’t commit to chopping off all of her locks, but instead cut in some face-framing layers, and pinned up her longer strands back, to create the effect of a glamorous, wavy bob. Clever, eh?

The Fast and the Furious actress Gal Gadot opted for an edgy, twisted high ponytail for the red carpet event, and we’re totally digging it.
Why do we love it so? Because this jazzed-up pony looked just as good on the red carpet as it did on the runways – so if you’re thinking about rocking the look, you know it’s worth its salt!
