Step 1: Start clean and add shine.

For a glossy base, wash your hair with Suave Professionals Moroccan Infusion Shine Shampoo and condition with Suave Professionals Moroccan Infusion Shine Conditioner. Dry hair then apply Suave Professionals Moroccan Infusion Styling Oil to add a soft texture to your hair.

Step 2: Separate front section for your pomp.

Pull out a section of hair in your crown area then clip away. You’ll be using this section to create your pomp after creating your ponytail.

Step 3: Create your ponytail.

Gather your hair into a sleek ponytail at the center of your crown and secure with a hair tie.

Step 4: Tease front section and create pomp.

Gently tease hair with a teasing comb or brush to create a touch of volume. After teasing pull hair back and pin to keep the height of your pomp in place. Using the ends of your hair from your pomp, wrap the entire base of your ponytail and pin in place. Be sure you pin as secure and as tight as you can, then remove the bobby pin that you used to set the height of your pomp.

Step 5: Add a modern twist.

Since you’re taking inspiration from a vintage hairstyle and giving it a cool spin, add some flair with a trend that’s in right now. Smooth the ends of your ponytail up and accessorize with some bobby pins.

Step 6: Set pomp ponytail in place to complete.

To finish your pomp ponytail, set your hair with a medium-to-firm hairspray for hold like TRESemmé TRES Two Ultra Fine Mist Hair Spray
