Beach-inspired hair trends you’ve got to try!
What you’ll need
We love checking out fashion shows as a way to scope out the latest hair trends. And with there only being a few weeks left in the summer season (big ugly cry), we are definitely inspired to try out some of beach-inspired hairdos to take us into Labor Day. During the Miami Swim Week, the TRESemmé team was on-hand to sponsor a few shows and scout the latest hair trends and style ideas. From beach waves to cool plaits, it’s clear that there are so incredible summer hairstyles out there that we can all still get in on. Read on to check out some of our favorites featuring Blogger Jennifer Palpallatoc of Haute off the Rack that we think might just inspire you to try out a new ‘do for the rest of the season.
Hair Trends from Miami Swim Week
1. Intricate Braid
We love the look of braids on long hair, and this style is certainly one that will turn heads with it’s combination of a braided half crown that falls into an intricate fishtail braid. While this braid cocktail might take some time to master, it’s definitely a look worth trying out this summer. Be sure to use some of the TRESemmé Climate Protection Finishing Spray to lock in this fun hairstyle.
2. Braided Crown
We have seen many variations on crown hairstyles that typically cover the top part of the head. This look takes on a half-up effect with the braids on the side as they meet towards the back to complete the style.
3. Beach Waves
One of our favorite looks for summer, beach waves are a laid-back look that’s perfect for a variety of hair textures. After you wash, condition and dry your hair, place some of the TRESemmé Climate Protection Mousse throughout your hair. Scrunch your fingers in your hair to create volume as the mousse works to hold the shape of your hair waves.
4. Half Top Knot
We love how this look combines wearing your hair down with the ever-trendy top knot. Start out by washing and conditioning your hair with the TRESemmé Botanique Damage Recovery Shampoo and the TRESemmé Botanique Damage Recovery Conditioner. These formulas work to nourish and strength your hair before you get to styling. Then, use a curling wand to create waves in your hair. Next up is the top knot part where you will be grabbing the top section of your hair as you create, holding it in a mini pony. Wrap that section around the base of your pony, creating a messy yet very cool-looking top knot.
