Cool Cuts: 3 Standout Looks from the New York Street Style Scene

These looks made the cut!

Since NYFW is officially over for this season, we’re grateful that we’re able to have some downtime to go through all of the street style looks and runway trends that we can use as hair inspiration. There’s no better feeling than flipping through a gallery of images and narrowing them down to your favorites. This is what we did with the cool cuts we came across from the New York City street style scene.

It’s no secret that cool cuts like pixies and bobs are a street style favorite. However, not every look is as practical as they appear. We handpicked a few of our favorite everyday looks below:

3 Cool Cuts from NYFW

1. Blunt Bang Cut

We’re obsessed with the blunt bang spin on this modern pixie cut. What we also love about cool cuts like this is the versatility it comes with. You can style it as an androgynous look by keeping accessories to a minimum, or make it more feminine by adding a girly statement earring into the mix.

2. Textured Bowl Cut

By now, everyone knows that texture can truly make a look pop. Although this bowl cut would look great as a super straight style, the textured look adds more dimension to the overall look. To recreate, use TRESemmé Thick & Full Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner  for a voluminous base. To style use a flat iron to bend the ends of your hair and then use your fingers to fluff and comb.

3. Not-So-Teeny Afro

This look still technically falls under the teeny-weeny afro category but since it’s not super short, we prefer to call it otherwise. This is the perfect way to style your hair as your mini afro begins to grow out. Twist hair with a firm hold hair gel like Nexxus Exxtra Hold Sculpting Gel so your curls are super defined and stay in place.
