Found: One of the best products to revive your hair no matter your hair type.
When it comes to beauty, I’m pretty much down to try almost anything. With that said, dry shampoo, a product all of my non-curly haired friends swear by, has been on my list of things to try. You’re probably thinking: Girls like me with natural hair probably don’t need to use dry shampoo since oily hair may be the least of our problems. I know, I know but hear me out first.

Last week, I got a fluffy blowout and my plan was to keep my blowout fresh for as long as I can (a.k.a. two weeks long) so I can try out various trendy styles on my hair like crown braids, fishtail braids, and the most coveted hairstyle of the summer: The sexy wave. Needless to say, I’ve been treating my hair like a guinea pig this week, but of course, it’s all for good measure.
Dry Shampoo to Refresh Blowout on Natural Hair
In the summer, it’s challenging to keep my hair straight, and in this case, I’ve started to find it challenging to keep my blowout light, fluffy, and airy. As the days went by, my fluffy hair started to become limp, and my roots began to lay flat. This is actually rare for me when my hair is worn curly, but I can definitely blame my recent hair issues on the hot and sticky weather we’ve been having lately. And since my hair is straight, my natural sebum isn’t having a hard time making its way down my strands.
There is no way I’m going to allow my hair to be defeated, and there’s absolutely no way I’m going to wash my hair either (hate to admit it, but the heat kicked my butt and made me feel rather lazy). This week, instead of drenching my hair with water and reaching for shampoo, I reached for Dove Refresh + Care Volume + Fullness Dry Shampoo to revive my hair until my next wash. I popped the cap off, sprayed a few inches away from my roots, brushed it through and like magic my hair started to feel less weighed down, and it smelled SO good!
So, for all of you ladies—no matter your hair type— dry shampoo is a way to revive and refresh your blowout.
