We’re really not sure how awards season is already here but sure enough, last night marked the start with the 76th Golden Globe Awards. And that means only one thing – more A-list hair inspiration than we even know what to do with!
So, if you’re looking for a new ‘do, you won’t find better inspiration anywhere else. Here are the guys who impressed us the most with their red carpet hairstyles…
Golden Globes 2019: Men's hair inspiration from the red carpet
Saying goodbye to his platinum blonde locks, singer Troye Sivan revealed he’s gone back to brunette with a return to his natural colour.
There are entire Instagram accounts dedicated to Timothée Chalamet’s hair, so it’s only a matter of time before the curly hair trend becomes stratospheric.
Ricky Martin is fast becoming our grooming idol. He shared a behind the scenes picture of him getting his hair cut before the event while looking after his newborn daughter. Talk about #dadgoals.
Editor’s tip: Keep your beard and the skin underneath it soft and supple with the TONI&GUY Nourishing Premium Beard Oil. Enriched with naturally derived oils and vitamin E, it soothes and hydrates to keep your beard comfortable.
The Golden Globes are known as the ‘fun’ awards show, so what better time to go rogue? Richard Madden took a hair risk with a new grey streak, which proved to be a good luck charm as he bagged the award for Bodyguard.
The Favourite star Joe Alwyn kept his black tie look casual, with his dark blonde hair worn in a soft swooped style.
Ozark‘s Jason Bateman with his flowing mid-length locks is the bro flow inspiration we all need for 2019.
Cody Fern was smashing all the gender stereotypes with his daring red carpet beauty look. We can’t get enough of his layered curly hair and judging by the amount of love for him on Twitter right now, we’re not alone.
Editor’s tip: Growing your hair out? Add lift and texture to mid length-long hair with the VO5 Rework Texture Foam. A lightweight mousse, it adds texture and grip to longer styles, while helping to bring out any natural waves for a messy look.
As one goes dark, another goes light, with actor Chris Messina trading places with Troye Sivan and showcasing bright bleach blonde hair.
There’s rumours that it’s for his role in upcoming DC flick Birds of Prey, so we’ll be keeping an eye out for a first look at him in character to find out.

The best hairstyles from the Golden Globes 2018
Not even Ewan McGregor’s controversial speech could distract us from his totally on-trend hairstyle. With his rugged beard and medium brown hair styled in a side-swept finish, Ewan is nailing the hipster look all the cool guys have been wearing lately.
Since his starring role as Chris in the Golden Globe-nominated Get Out, Daniel Kaluuya has been growing out his hair and opted for a smart afro for the awards ceremony. Keeping his ‘fro styled to perfection, Daniel added a skin fade which cuffed his ears.
While he may have lost out on the Best Performance by an Actor award, we predict huge things for Brit star Daniel – watch this space.
The Handmaid’s Tale may have won big last night, but it was Joseph Fiennes’ commanding style that we noticed.
Looking like he has just stepped off the set of the hit TV show, Joseph was very much channelling his on-screen character, Commander Fred Waterford, by wearing his medium-length brown hair neatly combed back. We don’t know what Offred would think of this look, but we think it looks pretty sauve.
When Alexander Skarsgård opted for a rather questionable haircut back in October (honestly you have to see it believe it), we didn’t quite know how he could claw back into our hair goals shortlist. So when we spotted Alexander on the red carpet with a buzzcut, we have to admit: we were relieved.
Keeping his blonde hair short, Alexander joined the likes of Brooklyn Beckham and the Jonas brothers by working the popular buzzcut trend – which we predict will be huge in 2018, FYI.
The This is Us actor looked as dashing as ever with his medium-length flow hair styled in a parted and swept-back finish. If you have followed Milo’s hair journey, you will know he never puts a foot wrong, from short crew cuts to boyband hair, he has tried them all – but his flow hair has to be his best look yet.
Editor’s tip: Get Milo’s high-shine finish by using the VO5 Groomed Extreme Style Grooming Pomade. By smoothing and controlling unruly locks, this nifty product will give hair a more defined finish that’s ideal for more formal situations.
Although there is an array of fashionable hairstyles available, Steve Carell decided to buck the trends and kept his look classic. We have to admit, we couldn’t quite imagine Steve with a man bun, could you?
Styling his salt and pepper hair (that’s a blend of grey and natural hair colour, BTW) cut in a short crew cut, Steve looks very dapper and a lot unlike his Despicable Me character Gru… thankfully!
