Editor’s tip: Remember, we’re trying to create a wavy effect rather than perfectly-defined curls, so you don’t need to hold the hair on the curling wand for very long.

How to get tousled hair without heat
Trying to limit how much heat you use on your strands, but still want to know how you can achieve tousled hair? We’ve got just the thing!
Our 4-step heatless tousled hair tutorial
1. Start by scrunching a sea salt spray into damp, freshly-washed hair. This will help you to create your waves and give them more staying power.
2. Next, use a tail comb to divide your hair into sections. The number of sections you’ll need will vary depending on how defined you want your waves to be.
3. Leave your hair to dry for a few hours or overnight if possible. Once dry, apply a few drops of your favourite oil or serum into your hands and then carefully remove each knot, one by one. The oil will help to prevent any frizz and add a gorgeous glossiness to your waves.
4. Give your look a quick brush through et voila! You’re ready to take on the day with your beach-inspired tousled hair.
