Cinnamon bun chic!

Chanel hosted their Spring 2017 Haute Couture show in Paris yesterday, which saw several high-profile models including Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid and Lily-Rose Depp take to the runway. The fashion house has become famous for its elaborate shows and settings, but this year, the vibe was much more parred back, with a simple mirrored catwalk that showed off the heavily embellished collection from all angles. Offsetting the lavish outfits, models sported minimal yet intricate twisted bun updoswhich we love! If you’re yet to see the style for yourself, keep scrolling…

With such an eclectic collection spanning from Chanel’s signature tweed skirt suits to incredible gem-encrusted gowns, the models’ identical hairstyles added an element of uniformity. On first glance, the updos looked like simple slicked-back buns with a deep side parting, but on closer inspection, we noticed that the hair was actually wound into a unique cinnamon bun-inspired shape! We know, this ‘do looks almost good enough to eat! Credit: @sammcknight1

17-Year-old model Lily-Rose Depp (who just happens to be the daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis), is Karl Lagerfeld‘s latest muse, and so was given the coveted spot of the ‘Chanel Bride’ in this season’s show. Her light brown hair was also styled into the futuristic-looking wrap-around updo, which perfectly complemented her fashion-forward bubblegum pink bridal gown. Come to think of it, it’s giving us serious prom hair inspiration…
