What do you picture when you think of Gigi Hadid? Odds are, it’s her glowing skin, perfect pout and her signature California beach waves, right? Us too. And while her modelling work has seen her rocking all sorts of crazy styles (from a short flicky bob at Moschino to neon streaks at Versace), she always returns to her trademark Barbie locks. That was, until now…
There we were, casually scrolling through Instagram as we so often do, only to discover a series of photos of the model sporting none other than a PIXIE CUT.
Nope, we couldn’t believe it either, but true enough, in the photos for her latest campaign with designer shoe brand Stuart Weitzman, the starlet is sporting a ’60s style Twiggy pixie crop. And unsurprisingly, she’s totally killing it!

The 22-year-old first teased news of her dramatic transformation on Instagram, where she shared a behind-the-scenes shot of her on set with world renowned fashion photographer Mario Testino.
In the image, we can see the model rocking a super short brunette pixie cut, a far cry from the flowing bronde locks we’ve seen her rocking lately.
Giving the people (AKA us!) just what they wanted, Gigi later shared a full black-and-white image from the campaign. And though the brand surely wanted the attention to be on her gorgeous statement black sock boots, we’d be lying if we said we weren’t totally captivated by her hair!
In this shot, it looks as though her tousled pixie cut also features an array of lighter blonde highlights, adding further body and dimension to the look.
While her new style comes courtesy of a (pretty realistic looking) wig, we’re sure you’ll agree that this bold cropped style gives a much more unique, high-fashion edge to her look. You know, just in case we needed any reminding why she’s one of the world’s most in-demand models right now!
