Discover if brushing your hair regularly will lead to shiny tresses.

Will regularly brushing your hair make it gorgeous and glossy? Period dramas often feature ladies having their hair brushed repeatedly because the practice has long been touted as the way to super shiny hair.

However, our hair experts did some investigating and discovered that this one is more of a hair myth than truth. In fact, regular brushing can actually cause more hair breakage, leading to split ends and dullness. So be warned, ladies!

Top tip: Try to avoid brushing your hair when wet. Wet hair has less strength than dry hair so it requires less energy to snap it.
