Bow hair bun: A step-by-step guide
Add texture.
Remove dirt, oil and residue from your hair by washing it with TRESemmé Perfectly (un)Done Weightless Shampoo and Conditioner (£4.99 each*). Once your mane is clean and dry, spray the mid-lengths and ends of your tresses with Toni&Guy Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray (£7.49*), which will boost casual texture and give a light hold – the ideal base for achieving your hair bun!

Create a looped ponytail.
Gather your hair into a high ponytail and secure it with a hair band, pulling your hair only half-way through. You should now have a looped ponytail with the ends of your hair lying on the top of your head.

Part the loop.
Now it’s time to create your beautiful bow bun. For that, gently divide your loop into two separate parts, using bobby pins on each side to hold your bow bun in place.

Create the bow.
And for the final step, flip the ends of your hair backwards between your two loops to create the centre knot of your bow hair bun. Tuck the ends under at the back, and fix in place using a couple of bobby pins.

Finish with hairspray.
Now that you’ve created your hair bun bow, it’s time to finish the look with hairspray. Use the TIGI Catwalk Work It Hairspray (£13.95*) to help give your style firm yet invisible hold.
