Fashion week hairstyles are all about being as chic and elegant as possible, right? Wrong! We’re not sure if it’s because Halloween is just around the corner, but believe it or not, the designer catwalks at Paris Fashion Week offered up a whole host of unique and scary Halloween hairstyles!

From spiky manes to colourful crops, and even to Cruella de Vil-inspired hair, we saw it all. So, to get you in the scary spirit of the season, and to inspire you for the spooky celebrations, we’ve put together a list of our favourite Halloween hairstyles from PFW! Go on, we dare you to take a look.

Metallic hair colours were a hot trend during the summer months, and it appears they’re set to be big for autumn, too! For a futuristic, robot-inspired look, spray some silver or gold hairspray into your mane, and dab some shimmering face paint onto your forehead, to complement your metallic locks.

Editor’s tip: If you’re already rocking metallic hair, and are thinking of adding in a few extra shades for your Halloween get up, then don’t forget to use a wash and care system specially formulated for coloured hair. We suggest using the TRESemmé Colour Revitalise Vibrance Protection Shampoo and Conditioner (Both 500ml, £3.69*).

For a very scary (and daring!) look, opt for extravagant, spiky hair. For some runway inspiration, look to the models at the Junya Watanabe and Haider Ackermann SS17 shows – they all strutted their stuff down the catwalks sporting some seriously over-the-top spikes!

Editor’s tip: To achieve this deadly-looking ‘do, you’ll need a lot of hairspray and hair gel. Try using extreme hold products, like the VO5 Classic Mega Hold Gel Spray (£2.99*), to create each spike, working the product from root to tip, and finishing with some TRESemmé Freeze Hold Hairspray (500ml, £4.99*).

Looking to channel your inner Marilyn Manson for your Halloween costume? If so, then you can totally rock this hardcore hairstyle. Simpy apply some VO5 Classic Styling Soft Moulding Wax (£2.99*) to your short hair, twisting your strands in different directions. Complete the look with some white face-paint and dark makeup around the eyes and mouth, and you’ll be ready to go scare your neighbours!

Want to go as a modern day Cruella de Vil? What a silly question, of course you do! Follow in the footsteps of this striking model (above) and opt for a swipe of white hair chalk on one side of your head, and work the rest of your dark, slick locks in different directions. Not only is this a super easy Halloween hairstyle straight from the runway, but it also incorporates this season’s hottest hair trend – wet-look locks! Terrifying and trendy, just what we were looking for.

It’s not all about slicked back, black locks this season, oh no – you can also work in some vibrant colours for your Halloween hairstyle, that’s still just as horrifying! So, if it’s a truly eerie ‘do you’re after, then why not go as a creepy doll for Halloween? Inspired by one of the most famous horror films ever created, this look oozes Chucky vibes – all you have to do to get the look for yourself, is sport a short, red wig with an edgy micro fringe!
