Continuing the challenge from ’90s babes Zoella and Mostly Megan, Laura’s chic, curly hairdo has been borrowed from the runways of the ever dreamy noughties. So, if you’re ready to learn how to curl hair, jump on board the curl craze with the video above, or read on for an easy step-by-step guide, below.
Want to know how to make your party curls last? Then you’ll need a volumising mousse like theVO5 Volume Mousse! So take a golf ball-sized amount of it and evenly rake through damp hair. This will give your mane the fabulous body and hold it needs to pull an all-nighter. Once you’ve done this, blow-dry your hair.
Tip: To really amp up the volume, tip your head upside down while blow-drying and lift your hair at the roots with your hands, like Laura does!
Section and curl your hair.
After separating your hair into 3 big sections, take your first section and split it into 2. Then, taking a one inch-barrelled curling wand, wrap a smaller section of your hair around it, and curl it away from your face. And, since you’ll be creating effortless runway curls, only hold the hair in place for a few seconds to help you get a nice, loose curl. Continue working in these sections until your entire head of hair is curled.
Set with hairspray.
Run your fingers gently through your hair and massage at the roots to create some extra volume. Then, set the look with the TRESemmé Ultimate Hold Platinum Hairspray. Trust us: this will give your mane that fresh-out-of-the-salon feel and make your ‘do dance-proof. too!
And there you have it: a runway-worthy curly hairstyle that’ll make you the mane attraction at next party. See? Learning how to curl hair isn’t as hard as you thought, right?
