Guess where the All Things Hair team went yesterday? To the VO5 x NME Awards nominations party, which we were kindly invited to — and it was incredible!
When we weren’t obsessing over the banging performance by The Big Moon, we were busy keeping an eye out for all the mane influencers that VO5 work with. And as you can imagine, we were seriously fan girling over their party hairstyles!

Chessie King’s look
We spotted lifestyle and fitness blogger Chessie King beating hair boredom with this romantic wavy ponytail.
To give her runway-approved ponytail extra charm, she also incorporated some wispy face-framing tendrils at the front and wrapped loose pieces of hair around her hairband to conceal it!

“Always curl your hair before creating your ponytail. I used to curl it after, but a stylist told me that doing it before will give your hair extra volume and bounce”. Now that’s a trick we can all get on board with!

We particularly love how she’s paired her bold, colourful blunt cut bob with a fedora, giving her look a seriously fashionable-edge. Yes, girl, yes!

“I am always looking at fashion week and catwalk styles for colour and style inspiration. Since I use straighteners to curl my hair a lot, I make sure to use a styling primer spray on my hair to help keep it protected!”.
