V Festival 2017: The best backstage beauty looks from the stars
The festival fun continues!
This weekend saw global music stars like Ellie Goulding, Jay-Z and P!nk descend on Chelmsford and Staffordshire here in the UK for this year’s Virgin V Festival.
But as well as the players on the main stage, there was also plenty of star-spotting to be done from around the festival itself, with a number of high-profile festival-goers in attendance. So as you can imagine, there was no shortage of star-spotting to be done between sets!
Now, if you missed out on this year’s event, and are currently experiencing a bout of V Fest FOMO, don’t you worry, as we’ve put together an edit of braids, glitter and crimping galore!

Stacey Solomon’s double Dutch braids
Singer and TV presenter Stacey Solomon rose to the occasion this weekend with this dazzling, sequin-encrusted ensemble!
Amazing rainbow dress aside, her waist-length double Dutch braids (complete with gold glitter roots, of course!) just scream festival fashion.
Editor’s tip: Braids are perfect for festivals as they hide all manner of dirty, greasy or glitter-filled hair.
To give your braids a little extra staying power, prep your tresses with an allover spritz of a texturising sea salt spray (like the VO5 Sea Salt Spray), to add a grittiness to your strands and help your style stay put.
Amber Davies’ unicorn braid
Love Island winner Amber Davies usually wears her dark hair down but opted for a unique braided ponytail ‘do for V fest this year. Combining a punky unicorn braid with a sleek, glossy pony, this is glamping at its finest! Credit: @amb_d
Lottie Moss’ braided half-updo
As Kate Moss’ younger sis, style is in Lottie Moss’ blood. So, it’s no wonder the teen model had a suitably stylish hairdo to match for this weekend’s festivities!
With her creamy blonde locks curled and styled into a braided half-updo, this was the perfect girly festival style to rock for a weekend of fun.
Jess Glynne’s fishnet cap
We’ve already seen a fishnet resurgence in the fashion world and now it’s spread into the world of hair, too, thanks to singer Jess Glynne, who rocked a studded fishnet cap for her performances over the weekend.
With her long red hair left free-flowing and crimped (with a subtle hidden braid thrown in for good measure), the trendsetter is sure to inspire a crimping comeback!
Editor’s tip: Fancy giving Jess’ crimped style a try? Check out our heatless (and tent-friendly!) crimped hairstyle tutorial, here.
And to ensure your hair stays perfectly kinky but not frizzy, make sure to set your style with a hairspray, such as the TRESemmé Perfectly (Un)Done Ultra Brushable Hairspray.
Lottie Tomlison’s hair rings
A quick scroll through make-up artist Lottie Tomlinson‘s Instagram feed confirms that she’s consistently nailing it when it comes to her hair – and this weekend proved no exception!
